Well, What Do You
Believe?
We're glad you asked! In
short,
we
believe
in
an
Awesome
God
Who
cares
deeply
about
His
creation,
and
we
believe
that
includes
you!!
At
GCC,
we
long
to
see
people
become
devoted
and
passionate
followers
of
Jesus
Christ.
But what about the
Bible?
Great question! We see The
Holy
Scriptures,
in
their
original
form
as
divinely
inspired,
without
error,
and
entirely
trustworthy.
They
are
useful
as
a
'Map'
to
this
road
of
life
we
walk!
And
a
diffilcut
walk it
may
be
at
times.
Through
times
of
joy
and
sorrow,
the
scriptures,
we
believe,
speak
the
Word
of
God
into
our
lives
~
it
can
just
as
easily
be
referred
to
as
an
Instruction
Manual
for
Christians.
And
God?
There is one God, eternally
existent
in
three
persons:
Father,
Son
and
Holy
Spirit
~
and
through
Him
all
things
were
made
~
plants,
cats,
hissing
cockroaches,
starry
skies,
H2O,
atoms...you
name
it!
!
And
yes,
He
formed
YOU...You
were
wonderfuly
made!
(Psalm
139)
Then
who
is
this
"Jesus"?
The Lord Jesus Christ is God
manifest
in
flesh:
we
affirm
his
virgin
birth,
sinless
humanity,
divine
miracles,
vicarious
and
atoning
death,
his
bodily
resurrection
and
ascension
into
heaven.
And
Yes,
we
believe
He
is
coming
again
in
power
and
glory
to
judge
the
living
and
the
dead.
Jesus
is
our
Saviour.
The
salvation
of
the
lost
(you
and
me)
is
possible
only
through
the
merits
of
His
shed
blood,
received
by
His
Grace
alone
through
faith
alone
and
in
Christ
alone!
What
about
the
Holy
Spirit?
The Holy Spirit is the
presence
and
power
of
God,
filling
and
enabling
all
believers
to
live
a
life
of service
to
God.
The
Holy
Spirit
is
our
counselor,
helper
and
power,
applying
God’s
forgiveness
to
our
broken
lives,
speaking
to
us,
and
spurring
us
individually
and
communally
to
godly
living.
So,
it's
all
about
God
then?
Absolutely! Yet, it is also
about
our
relationship
with
Him.
God
is
sovereign!
He
is
a
God
who
restores
us
and
sustains
us.
He
is
our
ever-present
help
and
our
providence.
He
is
our
Father
and
our
Friend.
We
faithfully
endeavour
to
trust
only
in
Him,
even
when
such
providence
is
bitter
and/or
hard
to
understand.
He
is
our
Hope,
our
Healer
and
our
Comforter.
He
IS
an
Awesome
God!
